Learn Turkish online in a highly interactive virtual classroom setting in the comfort of your own home. NYC Turkish Club is proud to launch its new online Turkish teaching program, which will enable anyone from anywhere in the world to learn Turkish online without leaving their home. Attending our online Turkish classes will not only cost you less than taking a regular Turkish class in your town, but it will also give you scheduling flexibility and help you save your time. All you need is a computer, a headset with microphone and a high-speed internet connection.

Our online Turkish classes are designed to offer all the benefits and effectiveness of our proven teaching methodology and lesson plans to our online students, as if we are teaching in a real classroom .

We will first be offering a beginner Turkish class online soon, but would also like to open intermediate and advanced classes in the near future. How does our online Turkish class work?

* Constant class participation is the key factor for success in learning any foreign language. The only way to learn a language is by speaking that language and the old rule of "practice makes perfect" applies more than anything else. In our classroom, students run the class and participation is the most important success factor.

* Effective use of time is another key factor in our teaching methodology. We want to achieve the most in a short time. Therefore, our classes are energetic and well-structured. We will even be sending the homework assigments via email after each class, not to take away from your precious class time. Having said that, just to clarify, energetic doesn't mean to jump from one topic to another, but it rather means, having a productive class. We have never had anybody get lost in any of our classes.

* Benchmarking success is another crucial factor. There will be an exam every semester and students need to get a certain grade in order to qualify to the next level.

* Our special software will enable an online virtual classroom setting. There will be a whiteboard that all students will be able to follow on their screens. All classes will be recorded and will be available online for review by students for a week. In other words, if you can't make it to our online classroom that week, you will be able to catch up on your own by watching the video. Having said that every student needs to be present in at least 60% the classes in order to qualify for the next level.

Possible shortcomings of learning Turkish online

Learning any foreign language online may have possible shortcomings and therefore, may not give the desired results in most cases. Our online Turkish program is designed specifically to avoid any of these shortcomings, which may include, but not be limited to:

* Lack of Professionalism: Learning from random native speakers rather than professionals may not give the desired results in the long term. Despite the common belief, being a native speaker doesn't automatically qualify one for being a language teacher. Learning Turkish from a book or a random native speaker, rather than under the guidance of a professional teacher, may prevent one from grasping the logic of the language in the shortest possible time and from using his or her energy efficiently.

* Lack of Self-discipline: One of the biggest challenges in a language self-study is maintaining the self-discipline. Learning any language requires dedication and hardwork, and it may get very hard to get beyond a certain point on your own without being part of a structured class.

* Lack of goals: If you don't set goals and benchmark your success, you wouldn't be using your resources wisely.
