    The Turkish Day Parade has been held annually on the third Saturday of May for the past 42 years in New York City and it stands as a vibrant testament to the enduring spirit and unity of the Turkish American community. This year’s parade and the festivities are scheduled for Saturday, May 17th, 2025, and promise to be a grand celebration of Turkish culture, history, and the shared values between the United States and Turkey.

    The Parade and the festivities feature a wide array of activities, including a Turkish music concert, traditional dance performances, exhibitions of Turkish arts and crafts, and a variety of culinary delights that offer a glimpse of Turkey’s rich gastronomic heritage.

    Parade route and festivities

    The 42nd Turkish Day Parade is organized by the Federation of Turkish American Associations (FTAA) and it is scheduled to start at the intersection of Madison Avenue and 38th Street at 11:30 am on Saturday, May 17th and will proceed southward to 25th Street. Then, a stage will be set up for a Turkish music concert and traditional dance performances near Madison Square Park.

    The concert will feature Turkish Pop Stars Çelik and Burak Kut as well as folk music singer Selma Geçer. Besides the concert, there will also be traditional dance performances by renowned Anadolu Ateşi (Fire of Anatolia) and a Caucasian folk dance troupe, and food vendors will offer a variety of Turkish dishes, showcasing the rich flavors of Turkish cuisine.
